AQE was originally founded in 1996 to provide support to historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and community-based organizations (CBOs) for resource development, strategic planning, and program management and evaluation. Over the years, we have expanded our client-base to not only serve HBCUs and CBOs, but to include a mix of: national non-profit organizations, faith-based institutions, small and large corporations, and a variety of government agencies – federal, state, and local. Although our new clients have broadened our reach, we remain committed and intimately connected to the communities we seek to serve. We are vigilant and passionate about our work to reduce education inequities and health disparities among underserved populations.
Today, AQE is a full-service management consulting firm with broad service offerings across three main categories: program management and evaluation, training and technical assistance, and event and conference management. We provide technical and administrative support to our clients in the areas of: research and evaluation, event management and logistical support, training and technical assistance for effective programming, non-government organization management, democratic participation, improved quality and equity in education programs, and social advocacy. Our team of professionals offer content expertise across a variety of subject-areas including: higher education; mentoring; HIV/AIDS and STI prevention, education and treatment; substance abuse prevention and treatment; maternal and child health; health disparities and minority health; juvenile justice; violence education and prevention; teen pregnancy; school delinquency and dropout; child and youth development; obesity prevention; early child care and education; community health; K-12 supplemental educational programming; civic responsibility; mental health; and cognitive behavioral therapy.
